Ethno on the road

Ethno on the Road is the touring version of Ethno, where five participants from the summer gathering, representing different countries, meet up again and set off on a tour across Sweden.

Out of Ethno Sweden 2025 came two tours. One covered the southern part of Sweden in the fall of 2025, the other one went way up north in the beginning of 2026. More info about the upcoming tours will be released soon.

The Story

Ethno on the road grew out of the idea of extending the Ethno experience beyond the summer camp in Rättvik. After days of sharing tunes, cultures and friendships at Ethno Sweden, selected participants are invited to continue the journey together on tour, bringing the spirit of Ethno to concert halls and audiences across Sweden.

For more than two decades, Ethno on the Road has brought together young musicians from different countries and musical traditions to create a unique live performance. Guided by experienced artistic mentors, the ensemble rearranges the music from the summer Ethno, creating concerts filled with music from all over the world.

Ethno on the Road is more than a tour — it is a continuation of the Ethno experience, where music becomes a way to connect people across borders, languages and traditions.
